Carbon Market Expo -

This will be Australia's first significant carbon market expo - hosted by carbon market industry associations, the Queensland Government and Gold Coast City Council.

THE NATURAL EDGE PROJECT Capacity building for local government Building on from the 2005 Banksia Award winning book, The Natural Advantage of Nations, and training program, the Engineering Sustainable Solutions Program, TNEP will be partnering with Environs Australia to develop a suite of capacity building training workshops for sustainability in local government. Drawing on the case study database developed in partnership with Environs over the last two years the sessions will cover a range of sustainable development issues highlighted with Australian and International case studies. VICTORIAN LOCAL SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEE Victorian Local Sustainability Accord A host of representatives, including Environs Australia, have worked together to assist in the establishment of this landmark partnership agreement between the Victorian State Government and local governments. The Accord focuses on environmental sustainability and aims to increase the effectiveness of State and local environmental sustainability programs. More information (external link).

ENVIRONS AUSTRALIA National Sustainability conference and annual awards In partnerhsip with Hallmark Editions, Environs helps convene a National Sustainability Conference and annual sustainabilty awards for local Government.  2008 will be the third year of this successful format showcasing the best examples of sustainable development across Australia and beyond.
